Marks and Spencer’s spring/summer 2014 Collections are characterised by confidence and colour.

Across the brands, colour is interpreted into signature styles, from washed tonal layering in North Coast, off-duty, primary-coloured sports jackets in Blue Harbour to refined pastel tones in Collezione.

Traditional menswear staples have a premium finish, with particular attention given to linings, pocket detailing, buttons, trims and fastenings.

Texture adds interest to simple shapes, with lightweight knitted polos, luxury cotton blazers and fine linen separates key to the season.

Formal wear focuses on fit, with suiting blocks refined to four concise blocks ensuring a consistent, modern silhouette across the tailoring brands.

The range includes a lightweight cotton blazer in a fine herringbone, sharp, masculine, three-piece suiting and a window pane tweed blazer with a subtle nod to the colour trend in the check.

This season also brings the second collection under the Best of British brand, following the global success of the launch for winter 2013. The team has worked hard to embrace a new direction and to capture the iconic British look in luxurious, lighter-weight options and a spring colour palette, while introducing relevant updates for the new season.
