A total of 33 candidates will be competing for Malta’s six seats at the European Parliament during elections due on May 24.

Police officers will be delivering voting documents at registered addresses between today and May 2, with the exception of Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday.

Voting documents will be delivered between 9am and 1pm and between 3pm and 9pm on all days, including Saturdays, Sundays and May 1, a public holiday.

The candidates are: Arlette Baldacchino, Angelo Emanuele Bianco, Nazareno Bonnici, Raymond Bugeja, Carmel Cacopardo, Anthony Calleja, Clint Camilleri, David Casa, Arnold Cassola, Therese Comodini Cachia, Peter Cordina, Joseph Cuschieri, Kevin Cutajar, Miriam Dalli, Helga Ellul Barbara, Cyrus Engerer, Mario Farrugia Borg, Antoine Galea, Charlon Gouder, Ivan Grech Mintoff, Ivan Grixti, Norman Lowell, Stephen Mallia, Roberta Metsola, Maria Mizzi, Kevin Plumpton, Jean-Pierre Sammut, Alfred Sant, Deborah Schembri, Jonathan Patrick Shaw, Fleur Anne Vella, Norman Vella and Francis Zammit Dimech.

Meanwhile, the Nationalist Party said yesterday it was fielding 51 candidates for the election of administrative committees for hamlets taking place on the same day.
