BONELLO DU PUIS. On April 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALBERT, aged 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Tessie, his children Alexander and his partner Benjamin Milton, Caroline and her husband Peter Fleri-Soler, and Veronica and her husband Peter Paul Bonnici, his beloved grandchildren Jeremy, Anthony, Julian, Michaela, Ally and Hannah, his sisters May Jones, Edith Bonello Du Puis, and Monica and her husband Alfred Busietta, his sister-in-law Iris Bonello Du Puis, nephews and nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9am for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. CAMILLERI – PIERRE (Six-pence), aged 52. On April 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving partner Jackie Vella and their son Jake, his daughter Petra Camilleri Galea, his mother Violet, née Azzopardi, widow of Roy, his sister Angele and her husband Martin Lanzer, his brother Michel, his sister Dominique and her husband Stanley Chetcuti, his nephews and nieces Matthew, Alexander, Sean, Nicole, Zack, Kristina, Jean-luc and Francesca, his aunts, cousins and many friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank his physicians and staff at the ITU for their support and dedication. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. GALEA. On April 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELA (Maria), aged 91. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Marian and her husband Joe Tonna, Margaret and her husband Tony Attard, Joyce, widow of Richie Micallef, Maris, wife of Martin Cassano and John and his wife Monica, her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.45pm for Gżira parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks to all the dedicated staff at IDU, Mater Dei Hospital.

SCICLUNA. On April 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, KRISTINA, of Mtarfa, aged 88, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Carmen, widow of Paul Vella, Frances and her husband Lorry Felice, who live in Australia, Maria and her husband Paul Tanti, Antonia and her husband Charlie Abela and Emanuel, her brother Carmelo and his wife Lilly, her sister-in-law Therese Scicluna, her nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3.30pm for Rabat parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm followed by interment at the family grave at Żebbuġ cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. May God grant her eternal rest.

Last supper table

The parish of Lija is organising a replica of the last supper table according to Jewish custom at the old parish church of Our Saviour.

A commentary will alternately be in English and in Maltese.

The opening and blessing ceremony on April 16 at 7.30 pm, is in the form of a prayer-vigil, with singing of hymns, reading of excerpts from the Bible, and sharing of spiritual thoughts.

The display will be open on Maundy Thursday from 8.30 to 10.30 pm and on Good Friday from 9am to 12.30pm.

Entrance, is free.
