Looking again at the luxury yacht from the Saluting Battery, that seems to be permanently berthed in Grand Harbour, the perspective reminded me of a model boat I once saw in my local Mecca toyshop – it cost a pretty penny, but only had a range of 500 metres and the blurb on the box said the batteries lasted just five minutes.

It made me wonder: Is the owner of the super yacht trying to get his full value from the mooring fees or can’t he afford bigger batteries?
