Hull: Hull season ticket holders have voted narrowly in favour of changing the club’s name to Hull Tigers. A total of 2,565 fans voted in a recent ballot in favour of the name change with the Allam family continuing in charge of the club, while only 48 fewer rejected the proposal. However, with only a 39 per cent turnout, just 17 per cent of season ticket holders eligible to vote backed the name change. Of the 15,033 eligible to vote, 9,159 chose not to.

Davari: Eintracht Braunschweig will be parting company with goalkeeper Daniel Davari in the summer, regardless of what league they will be playing in next season. The 26-year-old Iran international has informed the Bundesliga strugglers that he will not be extending his contract, which expires at the end of June. It is not yet known where Davari will be plying his trade next, but there is unlikely to be a shortage of suitors for a player who has become a key member of promoted Braunschweig’s side this term.

Casteels: Belgium goalkeeper Koen Casteels is set to miss the World Cup after Hoffenheim confirmed that he broke his shin bone on Sunday. Casteels was expected to be Belgium’s third choice keeper in Brazil, behind Thibaut Courtois and Simon Mignolet. Casteels collided with Hertha Berlin’s Adrian Ramos and has undergone surgery.

Martinez: Colombia forward Jackson Martinez continued his impressive scoring run with two more goals to help Portuguese league title holders Porto beat Academica Coimbra 3-1 on Sunday. Martinez took his tally to 18 goals.

Bosetti: Nice forward Alexy Bosetti will miss the rest of the season after suffering a sprained ankle. The 20-year-old was for-ced off in the 36th minute of the 1-1 draw against St Etienne on Sunday and scans have revealed the extent of the damage.
