The marketing committee within the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry will be holding its first event for members on Thursday at 2.45pm.

The main objectives of the committee are to contribute to the development and recognition of the marketing profession, help businesses embrace the marketing function and promote best practice.

The first event will be addressed by Malta Chamber president David Curmi and committee chairman Louis Olivieri, who will introduce the function of the committee and the way forward.

Allied Group managing director Adrian Hillman, who will be the keynote speaker, will talk about Selling Content – the 21st Century Challenge of Knowledge Society: The Case of Times of Malta.

Mr Hillman, who is also chairman of Progress Press and director of MediaMaker, is responsible for the group’s multimedia strategy, including the creation of audiovisual content, breaking news services, social networking services and driving Times of Malta to become the leading source of news in Malta. He lectures in Mass Media Research and Political Communication at the University of Malta.
