BAKER. On April 3, at his residence in Gozo, ROBERT (Bob, former Air Malta captain and DCA), aged 84. He was deeply loved and will be most sadly missed by his family and many friends in Malta and abroad. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday at 2.45pm for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at the Ħniena Divina cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. DINGLI. On April 5, Fr LOUIS OP (P. Wiġi), aged 90, passed peacefully away at St Catherine’s Home, Attard, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Maltese Dominican Fathers, his sister Lina, his nephews Nadette Vella Briffa, Maryanne, widow of Dr Marcel Dingli Attard, Pierre and his wife Mariella, great-nephews, other relatives and friends including the members of the Neo-Catechumenal Way. The funeral leaves St Catherine’s Home tomorrow at 7.30am. Mass praesente cadavere will be held at St Dominic parish church, Valletta, at 9.30am, followed by interment in the grave of the Dominican Fathers at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Dominican Mission in Albania and Radju Marija, will be appreciated.

FRIGGIERI. On April 5, WALTER, aged 77, of Msida, residing in Birkirkara, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Kathryn, his children Vince and his wife Daniela, Suzette and her husband Joseph Muscat and Amanda and her husband Robert Farrugia, his beloved grandchildren Robert, Sean, Alan, Sarah, Matthew, Rebecca and Katrina, their respective partners, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, their respective spouses and families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.30am for St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. GALEA. On April 4, at Gozo General Hospital, ANTHONY, aged 81, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Bernarda, his children Michael and his wife Frankline, Ivan and his wife Fabiana, his two grandchildren Oliver and Lucas, his brothers Frank and Joe, his sisters-in-law Loreta and Martha, their families, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 4.45pm for St Peter and St Paul parish church, Nadur, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 5.30pm followed by interment at Nadur cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Arka or Dar Kenn u Tama, Gozo, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest. GATT. On April 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, PHILIP ORESTE, of Pietà, aged 77, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Patricia, his son Mark and his wife Marisa and grandson Thomas, his sister Mary, his sister Pauline and her husband Manoel, his brother Charles and his wife Maureen, his sister Antoinette, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 9am for Pietà parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment in the family grave at Ta’ Braxia cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors at home. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta will be greatly appreciated. May God grant him eternal rest.

GRIFFITHS. On March 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, Prof. VICTOR GEORGE, of St Julian’s, aged 93, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his dearest wife Dr Mary Griffiths, his children Margaret and her husband Henry and William and his wife Lucy, his granddaughter Chantal and her husband James, his grandson Robin, his great-grandsons William and Oliver, his brother Gerald and his wife Inez, his sister-in-law Josephine, his nieces Josephine, Connie, Mary, Lillian, Geraldine, Hazel-Ann, Joanne, Louise and Vicky, his nephew William, and numerous friends and colleagues. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. In Memoriam

AGIUS – VALERIE. Ever loving and treasured memories of my dear daughter who was called to the loving arms of Our Lord 36 years ago today. Always remembered in our prayers. Mum, Angèle, Simone and Neville.

AZZOPARDI – CARMELINA. On the 13th anniversary of her sad passing away to eternal life, meeting Our Lord whom she had loved so much. Gone from us but always very dearly in our daily thoughts and prayers. All her loving children Ina, Paul, Emmanuel, Joseph and Alda, together with all her in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

VASSALLO – ANTHONY. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of his birth to eternal life. Always remembered by his wife Gladys, sons Tonio and John and his wife Suzanne, his grandson Samuel and Yasmin. A Mass for his repose will be celebrated today at 10am at St Dominic’s church, Rabat.

VASSALLO – JANE, née Camilleri, beloved widow of Emanuel and a devoted mother, on the second anniversary of her death. Lovingly remembered and sorely missed by her only daughter Ruth Joan.
