Year 5 pupils at Gozo College’s Għajnsielem Primary recently took part in an educational visit to the Grand Hotel in the same village. Hotel events manager Alfio Rapa and Charlon Tabone, a student from the Institute of Tourism Studies, showed the pupils around the hotel and explained the various skills needed for the different jobs at the hotel. They emphasised the importance of lifelong learning, communication skills and collaboration. The visit was coordinated by personal and social development teachers Karen Borg and Jacqueline Camilleri and the hotel’s front office manager Anna Refalo.
