• A blood donation session will be held at Gozo General Hospital’s outpatients department today between 8am and 1pm.

• The Catholic Action Movement is holding a Lenten prayer session for women on Tuesday from 9 to 11am at Fontana parish church. Everyone is welcome.

• Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem will be performed today at 7pm, at the Xagħra parish church by the Schola Cantorum Jubilate choir and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mro Christopher Muscat. Organist Simone Vebber will accompany the choir. The solo parts will be performed by mezzo-soprano Marvic Monreal and bass Albert Buttigieg. Mro Mark Gauci is choir master. The performance is free of charge.

• Breast Care Support Group Europa Donna Malta is holding its annual breast health awareness walk today, starting at Pjazza Savina, Victoria, at 9.30am.

• Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a via crucis at Ta’ Għammar Hill today at 6.30pm. It will be broadcast live on Radju Marija. Those attending are asked to bring a red candle with them.

• A concert by London-based chamber choir The Elysian Singers will be held today at 6.30pm at St Augustine church, Victoria, as part of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music.  The festival reaches its highlight on Saturday at 7.30pm with the production of Puccini’s opera Tosca at the Aurora Theatre. • A car boot sale will take place today from 7am to 1pm at the Marsalforn car park, organised by the Arka Foundation. Sellers will be asked for a €10 donation per car in aid of the foundation.

• Masses at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary will be said today at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and 5pm, followed by the recital of the rosary and Eucharistic benediction.

• On Friday, the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, Masses at St James church, Victoria, will be held every half an hour between 6am and 1pm. Bishop Mario Grech will concelebrate Mass at 6.30pm, followed by a procession with the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows.

• Sister Emanuela Edwards from the UK will deliver a meditation on the Passion of Christ for youths at Nadur parish church on Friday at 8.30pm. Priests will be available to hear confessions. An audio-visual meditation on the Shroud of Turin will be held at the same church on Saturday at 8pm.

• The Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration in St Michael chapel at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish church, Fontana, all year round from Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm.

• Il-Fergha Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will hold an hour of adoration on Thursday from 9am to 10am at Our Lady of Pompeii church, Victoria. Holy rosary will be recited at 8.45am. Everyone is invited.

• An animated Mass will be celebrated by Fr Albert Micallef OFM, of the Friar Minors at Għajnsielem, on Tuesday at 6pm at St Anthony’s church in preparation of the feast of St Anthony in June. Prior to Mass, a Way of the Cross will be held at 5.30pm.

• Bethel Charismatic Group will hold a prayer meeting on Saturday at 7pm at MAS headquarters, Victoria.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will hold a prayer evening at St Francis church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• L-Għaqda Drammatika Għajnsielem is organising the following activities: On Friday, a procession of Our Lady of Sorrows, including around 90 actors dressed as biblical characters, will be held, leaving Għajnsielem parish church at 6.30pm. Next Sunday at 6pm a dramatised version of The Way of the Cross will be held. Participants will follow the stations of the cross starting in Lourdes Street and proceeding through Fort Chambray. Entrance is free. A live re-enactment of the Last Supper will be held on the evening of Holy Thursday, April 17, and the following morning, Good Friday, April 18, at Ta’ Passi fields, where Bethlehem f`Għajnsielem is usually held.
