St Therese College’s Birkirkara primary recently hosted the seventh meeting of the Comenius project It’s Fun to be In and Green.
Teachers and students from the six partner schools taking part in the project met to exchange work related to future means of transport, housing, clothing, occupations and food.
While each country’s co-ordinator participated in workshops, students joined classroom activities and attended lessons with Year 5 children. It was a learning experience for both Maltese and foreign teachers and students. Besides the workshops at school, the Comenius partners also took part in a a cultural programme involving visits to Valletta, Mdina, the Three Cities and Tarxien temples.
They also learned about the process and promotion of recycling in Malta during a tour of Sant’ Antnin recycling plant.
The last meeting of the two-year Comenius project will be held in Lithiuania in May.
