Business and Professional Women (BPW) Valletta Malta has launched the first of a series of Careers Days for girls and young women for 2014.

The first was held for Form 2 students at the Sacred Heart School in St Julian’s.

BPW (Valletta) Malta, the Maltese branch of the International Association of Business and Professional Women, organised the event to help the girls make a choice on the requirements of subjects for a future career.

The mentors present were women from different walks of life. It was a positive experience for the girls and it was clear that they were very interested to know what job opportunities were available for them.

This important information was helpful for them to be able to discuss with their parents before making any decisions.

BPW is now working on organising its second Careers Day, which will be held on Saturday in collaboration with the Malta Girl Guides.
