Past, present and future are all intertwined, possibly restructuring in an unconventional manner. New souls create new particles composed from dust, the dust that is us. Lost Souls, an interdisciplinary and collaborative work, explores the idea of what might happen after life on earth.

Featuring various young and upcoming artists, Lost Souls marks the launch of the Moveo Dance Company. The launch will also feature a dance video, which will be introduced by dancer Dorian Mallia and visual artist Anthony Galea, and a photographic exhibition featuring photos by Andrew Rizzo. These photos will be for sale and all profits will go towards Opening Doors, a non-governmental, non-profit art association that seeks to promote the active involvement of adults with learning disabilities in the artistic and creative sector.

Dorian Mallia is the director and choreographer of Moveo Dance Company. A professional dancer who trained in the UK, Mallia, 28, returned to Malta in 2008 and, since then, it has always been his intention to create dance works with Moveo Dance Company that would be performed locally and hopefully also tour Europe. Mallia is currently an assistant visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and is reading for a Masters degree in dance studies.

Moveo Dance Company will be launched on Wednesday, April 9 at the Teatru Manoel Studio Theatre. The company will perform a contemporary dance adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray on May 3, 4 at the Manoel Theatre.
