BORG. On April 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, NICHOLAS of Balzan, widower of Antonia, née Borg, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his children Fr Joe Borg, MSSP, Maria, Victor and his wife Miriam, Eugene and his wife Miriam, Alfred and his wife Josephine and Norbert and his wife Marica, his children in Canada Frankie and his wife Rita, and Rita and her husband Rod Gregorio, his 12 grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8am for Balzan parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, and the Missionary Society of St Paul will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CHETCUTI BONAVITA. On April 3, MONICA, aged 69, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Margaret, her brother Michael and his wife Anna, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital todayat 8.30am for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment. The family wish to thank all the dedicated doctors, nurses, staff and helpers of Ward M6 and Renal Unit at Mater Dei Hospital and the Mater Dei Ambulance personnel for taking such good care of her. FRENDO. On April 3, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, MARIA, née Baluci, widow of Anthony, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her only daughter Tonia, wife of Pierre Cauchi, her grandchildren, Jean Pierre and his wife Vanessa, Sarah and her husband Antoine and Henri, her great-grandchildren Benjamin and Julian, her sister Yvonne, wife of Joe Micallef, her brothers Joseph and his wife Mary and Louis and his wife Doris, her sisters-in-law, Ina, widow of her brother Carmel, and Mary Caruana, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Residence today at 8.30am for St Mary parish church, Attard, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GRIFFITHS. On March 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, Prof. VICTOR GEORGE of St Julian’s, aged 93, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves behind him his dearest wife Dr Mary Griffiths, his children Margaret and her husband Henry and William and his wife Lucy, his granddaughter Chantal and her husband James, his grandson Robin, his great-grandsons William and Oliver, his brother Gerald and his wife Inez, his sister-in-law Josephine, his nieces Josephine, Connie, Mary, Lillian, Geraldine, Hazel-Ann, Joanne, Louise and Vicky, his nephew William, and numerous friends and colleagues. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, April 7 at 8.30am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Physically Handicapped Rehabilitation Fund, Paola, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MUSCAT. On April 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, Major LOUIS MUSCAT, MBE, of Dingli, residing in Sliema, widower of Rita, née Blackman, at the age of 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Marianne Cassar and his son Joseph and wife Miriam. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Christine and her husband Jesmond Scerri, Stephen Cassar and his wife Francesca, Robert Cassar and his wife Francesca, and Martina and her husband Mark Schembri, his great-grandchildren Rebekah, Max, Anna, Sophie and other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said today at 2pm at St Mary parish church, Dingli. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

AMATO GAUCI – PHILIP. Loving memories, four years since his call to eternal life. Always cherished by his wife Victoria, his children and their families, his sisters Terry Gera and Jean Soler, all his in-laws and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Today’s 9am Mass at St Patrick’s church, Sliema, and the 7pm Mass at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of his soul.

AQUILINA – ALICE, née Miggiani, and JOHN. Loving memories of our beloved parents whose anniversaries occur today and on April 13 respectively. Deeply missed and always in our thoughts and prayers. Mario, Edward and Rosary.
