BORG. On April 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, NICHOLAS of Balzan, widower of Antonia, née Borg, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his children Fr Joe Borg, MSSP, Maria, Victor and his wife Miriam, Eugene and his wife Miriam, Alfred and his wife Josephine and Norbert and his wife Marica, his children in Canada Frankie and his wife Rita, and Rita and her husband Rod Gregorio, his 12 grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Balzan parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, and the Missionary Society of St Paul will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CAMOIN. On April 2, at his residence in Gżira, ALFRED, aged 75, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, his brother Michael and wife Carmen, his brother-in-law Charles Pisani and wife Anne, his sister-in-law Maud, Marcelle and her husband Donald, Grace of Australia, his numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Gżira parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addo-lorata Cemetery. CHETCUTI BONAVITA. On April 3, MONICA, aged 69 years, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Margaret, her brother Michael and his wife Anna, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at the same cemetery. The family wish to thank all the dedicated doctors, nurses, staff and helpers of Ward M6 and Renal Unit, at Mater Dei Hospital for taking such good care of her. FRENDO. On April 3, at St Vincent de Paul, MARIA, née Baluci, widow of Anthony, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her only daughter Tonia, wife of Pierre Cauchi, her grandchildren, Jean Pierre and his wife Vanessa, Sarah and her husband Antoine and Henri, her great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Julian, her sister Yvonne, wife of Joe Micallef, her brothers Joseph and his wife Mary, Louis and his wife Doris and her sisters-in-law, Ina wife of her late brother Carmel and Mary Caruana, nephews and nieces other relatives and friends. VELLA. On April 3, GEORGE, aged 66 of Victoria, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Josephine, his daughter Mignonne and her husband Mark, his son Michael and his wife Tracy, his niece Brooke and his nephews Mattia, David and Craig, his siblings Charlie, May, Joe and Laura, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves from 56, Republic Street, Victoria today at 4.30pm for St George Basilica, Victoria, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5pm followed by interment at St Mary Cemetery. VELLA. On April 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIJA of Balzan, aged 79, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Spiru, her children Joe Gabriel, Therese and her husband Carmelo Cassar, Mary Grace and her husband Alfred Micallef, Noel and his wife Josianne, her grandchildren Tiana, Jonathan, Stefania, Johann, Gabriel and Kathleen-Marie, their spouses, her great-grandchildren Liam, Jake, Paige and Benjamin, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8am for Balzan parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at Balzan cemetery. Europa Donna Malta

The breast care support group Europa Donna Malta will be holding an awareness walk in Gozo on Sunday. The walk will start at 10am from Pjazza Savina, Victoria, and finish at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary.

Exhibition

An exhibition of sacred objects and sale of furniture and house ornaments will be held at Villa Lija, Lija, today from 4 to 7.30pm, tomorrow from 9am to 1pm and from 4 to 7.30pm and on Sunday from 9am to 1pm. All proceeds go towards the restoration project of the Lija parish church ceiling painting.
