Crimsonwing, a local IT Solutions provider, has announced the successful implementation of a custom route management module on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 ERP for the Nectar Group, a major importer and distributor.

The solution was implemented to facilitate the group’s operations and achieve more efficient deliveries all over Malta and Gozo.

Crimsonwing’s engineers built several interfaces into the system, including one with Google maps. The route management module generates a number of routes based on the sales orders due for delivery on that particular day. The Google Maps service is used to group these sales orders into the most efficient routes based on proximities of the localities.

With the route management system in place, a number of ERP modules are being phased in, including accounts payable and receivables, fixed assets, warehouse management and human resources.

Top speakers for ISACA conference
