CALLEJA. On April 2, at his residence, JOSEPH of Mellieħa, aged 81, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Sina, his children Peter, Stephen and his wife Fleur, and Maryann and her husband Ivo, his beloved grandchildren Dean, Kimberley and Max Matthew, his sister Maria and her husband Anthony Deguara, his brother Charles residing in Canada, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rose, his brother Michael and wife Carmen, his brother-in-law Charles Pisani and wife Anne, his sister-in-law Maud, Marcelle and her husband Donald, Grace of Australia, his numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. GALEA. On March 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, YOLANDA of Valletta, aged 87, passed away peacefully. She leaves to mourn her loss, in Canada MarieJose Cini, widow of her brother Louis, her nieces Victoria and her husband Jim Bromley, Lucienne and her husband Peter Weeks, her nephew Christopher and his wife Laurie, her grand nephews and nieces Tara, Danielle, Adam and Jenna and her great-grandnephew Cameron, in Malta her cousin Francis Scicluna and his wife Inez. SCHINDLER. On April 2, Sr CLEMENT, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, her sisters Paddy and Barbara, and her nieces Elizabeth and Kate. VELLA. On April 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIJA of Balzan, aged 79, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Spiru, her children Joe Gabriel, Therese and her husband Carmelo Cassar, Mary Grace and her husband Alfred Micallef, Noel and his wife Josianne, her grandchildren Tiana, Jonathan, Stefania, Johann, Gabriel and Kathleen-Marie, their spouses, her great-grandchildren Liam, Jake, Paige and Benjamin, other relatives and friends. Dog walk

A dog walk in aid of The Island Sanctuary, Tas-Silġ, will be held on Sunday in the surroundings of the sanctuary starting at 10.30am and lasting about 45 minutes. Booking must be made on 7901 8901. A €5 donation is requested and registration starts at the sanctuary at 9.15 am.

‘Nixtieq Nistaqsi’ meeting

The first meeting of a new group for those questioning their faith will be held today at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana. The group will be meeting on the first Thursday of each month at 6pm.

Talk on baptism

Fr Hayden Williams, OFM cap, will give a talk on ‘Baptism in the Holy Spirit’ and lead a prayer meeting tomorrow at 7pm at St Ignatius chapel, Old College Street, Sliema.
