AZZOPARDI. On March 30, Sr MICHELINA, OCD, (Filippa), aged 86, passed away peace-fully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the communities of the friars and sisters of the Discalced Carmelites, her sister Sr Josephine FMM, her brother, Alfred, Marlene, widow of her brother Carmel, her niece Maria, wife of Mark Abela, her nephew Eman, her beloved great nephews, Luke, Benjamin and James, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will take place today at 3pm at St Margaret Monastery, Cospicua, followed by interment in the monastery vault. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
BONELLO. On March 29, at Mater Dei Hospital, BENEDETTA, of Siġġiewi, aged 83, widow of Nicholas, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss, her children, Lina and her husband John, Charlie and his wife Carmen, Reno and his wife Pauline, Amalia and her husband Ġorġ and Josephine, widow of her late son Angelo, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3pm for St Nicholas p-parish church Siġġiewi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment at the Siġġiewi cemetery. MERCIECA. On March 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, of Tarxien, aged 80, residing in Rabat, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary Jane, née Pandolfino, his son John Joseph, his brothers and sisters, Doris, widow of George Borg, Charles and his wife Catherine, Mary and her husband Ernest Kirby, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2pm for St Dominic church Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolo-rata Cemetery. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. for St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, whre Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave at St Andrew Cemetery, Żebbuġ. TILNEY. On March 29, at home, EMMA, aged 89, widow of Ivor, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Terence and his wife Myra, Taygeta and her husband Edward, and her grandchildren Tristan, Stuart and Russel. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, today at 1.45pm for St Gregory parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Patrick’s Salesians, Sliema, will be appreciated.
