HolidayCheck.com has ranked the Seabank Resort and Spa in Mellieħa as the best in the Beach Holiday category in its 2014 Awards.

It has also ranked it as one of the most popular hotels in the world.

The HolidayCheck.com Awards are based on the results of more than 980,000 hotel reviews on this year’s most popular places to stay worldwide.

This year, the winners were divided into six categories: Country’s No. 1, Beach Holiday, City Trip, Spa, Family and Couples.

The 389 most popular hotels around the globe are selected based on a formula using three criteria: number of reviews, recommendation rate and suns awarded in each category.
