The new spring/summer 2014 collection at Oasis features pattern, print and pretty pops of colour.

It’s goodbye to matchy-matchy and hello to matchy-patchy this season. Contrast patterns and reversible sister print separates herald an exciting, new head-to-toe patched rather than matched look.

From flat florals, bold botanicals and tropical palms to marble effects, tribal motifs, graphic, monochrome designs and snakeskin jacquards, the collection sees a plethora of prints and patterns.

Luxurious fabrics are in abundance, with pretty satin slips sitting alongside textured suede separates, laser-cut leather and beautiful Broderie Anglaise.

Spring/summer 2014 is the season of the skirt. From mini to maxi to skater, styles are varied, but with none more modern than the new take on pencil, A-line and midi styles, available in rich jacquards, soft denims and structured leathers.

And if the skirt is the hero of the season, then the cropped top surely is the heroine. Paired together with new skirt styles in demure, almost ladylike lengths, the cropped top – whether shell, bralet or tee – gives a modern, sport-like feel to the trend.

The sugar rush continues with ice-cream flavours, from pistachio to lemon to peach, offering a tasty highlight. Pastel shades contract with accents of sunny chartreuse, chilli red, Delftware blues, burnt oranges and monochromatic black and white.

Oasis stores are in Tower Road, Sliema and Zachary Street, Valletta.
