Students from the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology are conducting research on government targets, strategies, policies and good practices on energy and water conservation, renewable energy and electro-mobility. The research is part of a Lifelong Learning project entitled Sustainability in the New Europe – Ambassadors for Sustainability.
The other project partners are Kelvin College, Glasgow, Scotland, Berufskölleg für Technik des Markishen Kreises Lüdenscheid, Germany, and Alfa College, Groningen, the Netherlands.
During the project, students share and discuss best practices in these areas during meetings hosted by the various project partners.
A group of electrical engineering students from Mcast’s Gozo Centre recently visited Lüdenscheid as part of the project.
The German host college organised visits to firms in the electrical and electronics sector, the Institute of Building and Lighting Technology, the Phänomenta Science Museum and a cultural visit to Cologne Cathedral.
The group also visited Alfa College in the Netherlands.
