• Verbal agreements should ideally also be backed up with something in writing, because if there is a dispute between the seller and the buyer it would be difficult to prove who is saying the truth and who is not.

• When the written agreement does not match the verbal agreement, we should immediately speak with the trader and correct the written agreement.

• Once a sale is confirmed, consumers cannot simply change our mind.

• When a sales contract is breached, consumers may seek redress.
