Dragonara Gaming has signed a long-term collaboration agreement with Poker Travel Israel through which 5,000 poker and casino players from Israel and central Europe will be visiting the casino for various organised events every year.

The agreement represents 16,000 bed nights.

The collaboration between Dragonara and Poker Travel started earlier last year and has already seen hundreds of players from Israel visiting Malta, especially during the tourism shoulder months. The collaboration will now be extended to players from central Europe as special packages have been negotiated with local hotels.

Lior Markov, the chief executive officer of Poker Travel who was in Malta last week with a group of Israeli poker players, was extremely upbeat about the deal.

“We have found Dragonara Casino to be hard-working and possessing the right attitude to deliver results in this highly competitive market. Dragonara Casino has a positive vision for the casino sector in Malta and have great initiatives to transform Malta into one of the leading Poker destinations in Europe,” he commented.

“We are working closely with Poker Travel to devise a marketing programme in Israel that will allow us to create the right level of awareness for the project,” business development director at Dragonara Casino Franco de Gabriele said.

Dragonara Casino is hosting Dealer EM in September 2014 and the Deep Stakes Poker Tour in November 2014 on top of in-house Dragonara Poker Open.

Dragonara Casino said it would be announcing other casino and poker related agreements with top international companies in the next few weeks.
