Air Malta will be wet-leasing two 168-seater Boeing 737-400 aircraft tomorrow and Monday.

Through such an agreement, an airline leases an aircraft and flight crew from another airline.

The aircraft will join the airline’s fleet to operate seven return flights which were scheduled to be operated by Air Malta’s aircraft that are undergoing preventive maintenance.

Air Malta’s commercial director Philip Saunders said the airline remained one of Europe’s top airlines in terms of reliability. This weekend was a busy bank holiday and the leasing underlined Air Malta’s commitment to passengers.
