Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has asked the Nationalist Party to apologise for the projects PN-led governments carried out over the last 25 years.

Knowing Eddie Fenech Adami and Lawrence Gonzi, I am convinced that they will not do this, because it may be a bit embarrassing for them.

So, as one of the many thousands responsible for Malta having governments led by the PN, I will take it upon myself to make the requested apology.

I apologise for the project that gave the people water in the taps, for the project which gave the people electricity in their homes and businesses, for the large number of new roads, for an airport to be proud of, for a cruise liner terminal which is second to none, two excellent Gozo ferry terminals, for rebuilding our tourism industry, for the vast number of open spaces, playing fields and gardens to be found everywhere, for reaching the highest level of employment ever in the private sector and the lowest ever in the public sector, for an educational system which is not only free for everyone but for the stipends given to students after secondary school, for all the new schools built, for the new Mcast, for keeping Malta afloat when everyone around us was drowning. I could go on and on but I am sure that the list would be too long for the editor to print in one edition.

I hope this is the apology that Muscat was asking for and that it is taken in the right spirit.
