The 24th running of the Dingli 10 race, sponsored by Nestle Fitness, was held earlier this month with the participation of 320 athletes.

St Patrick’s Athletics Club, the organisers of this annual race, also had a 10-mile walk and a juniors race included in their programme on March 19 and the feedback on both events was very positive.

The Dingli 10 was won by Saints’ runner Ibrahim Hussen Ahmed. He clocked 57 minutes and seven seconds to enter the gantry first ahead of club mate Jonathan Balzan.

The third runner home was Melvin Mifsud, of Żurrieq Wolves AC.

The women’s race was won by Josann Attard Pulis, of Starmax Athletic Club.

Attard Pulis covered the 10 miles in one hour eight minutes. Marisa Muscat, of St Patrick’s, was second and Birkirkara St Joseph’s Johanna Calleja third.

Jean Claude Randon and Maria Ghigo were the respective winners of the boys’ and girls’ race for juniors.
