Last weekend, I decided to take a walk through the Majjistral Nature Park, taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather and in search of silence and tranquillity, which a protected area is supposed to give. This supposedly protected nature park must be the only one of its kind in the world where scrambling on noisy motorbikes is taking place, not to mention the game shooting.

Motorbikes create various paths across unique virgin garigue and an overhead view will give you at least half a dozen car-wide paths.

Garigue destroyed is gone forever or for generations to come. There should only be one path and that is the one the horse riding school takes, an activity that adds charm to the area.

Why on earth should motorbikes be allowed to enter and cause such disturbances and irreparable damage?

Is it a protected zone or is it not? An explanation would be in order.
