The Mediterranean Cultural Foundation for Music and Mediterranean Centre of Culture and Art, in collaboration with the Malta Community Chest Fund and the support of Yuri Rozum’s International Music School in Malta, are organising the Malta Inter-national Music Festival and Competition between April 27 and May 11.
The festival, which ends on May 6, consists of a series ofpiano, cello, saxophone, violin, chamber ensembles and voice masterclasses and concerts in leading venues across Malta and Gozo.
The highlight of the festival is the piano competition which will be held between May 7 and 11.
There are three age categories with a total prize value of €14,350. Registration costs €100.
The price to take part in the festival, which draws students from all over the world, is €900, which includes masterclasses, performing in concerts, accommodation (including breakfast) and a sightseeing tour.
Passive participation in master classes costs €600, including accommodation.
Maltese students willing to take part can apply for a scholarship.
