On March 23, at Marina di Ragusa, Sicily, IRENE, widow of Guglielmo, aged 66, passed away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her children Michele, Dolores, Antonio and Beatrice. She leaves to mourn her loss her siblings Agnes, Manoel and Sunny in Malta, Pauline and Carmen in Canada, her grandchildren, her relatives and friends and relatives of her husband. DEGAETANO. On March 24, at Karen Grech Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 91, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Dorothy, nèe Cost Chretien, his children, Marianne and her husband Frederick, Angela and her husband Joseph, Andrew and his wife Josianne, Caroline and her husband Mark, David and his wife Bernardette, Paul and his wife Josienne, his dearest 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his sister Ina Captur, his brother Vincent and his wife Cecilia, his sister-in-law Rose De Gaetano, other relatives and friends. FARRUGIA. On March 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, CONNIE, nèe Cuschieri, widow of Joseph, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Kathleen widow of Iro Amato and Moira and her husband Joseph Antignolo. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Ina and Pierre, Concita and Edward, Beppe, Krista and Matthew and Greta and James, her adorable great-grandchildren Julia and Sophie, her brothers Lawrence and Tarcisio and his wife Emma, her in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege will leave Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2pm for Mass præsente cadavere at Lija parish church at 2.30pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FENECH. On March 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, SALVU, aged 70, of Qormi and residing in Sliema, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his beloved family. He leaves to mourn his loss his cherished wife, Antoinette, nèe Bartolo, his daughter Roberta and her fiancé Kurt, his son Brian, siblings Charlie, Rose (Sister Gemma, Franciscan Order of the Heart of Jesus), Sebastian, Mary, George, Doris, Marthese and Lucy, his mother-in-law Maria Anna, in-laws Vince, Maria, Charles, Josephine, Pauline, Agnes, Carmen and Reno, their husbands and wives, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege will leave Mater Dei Hospital today at 3pm for the church of St Sebastian, Qormi, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Qormi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza and St Julian’s Ursuline Sisters will be appreciated. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cardiac Medical Ward for their sterling care and support. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
