It is amazing how a small island like Malta has become a centre of economic activity which has transformed the country into a rich and prosperous one capable of generating employment.

At first glance, our island appears to have reached the climax of its development. However, for our highly enterprising Maltese businesses, the sky is the limit so we can expect more from them.

This is all to the advantage and economic progress of our islands and the loss of some of the pristine peacefulness seems to be a relatively small price to pay for what we have gained in return.

The new generation should be adequately trained to be the standard bearers of even more prosperous business activities transforming Malta into the Singapore of the Mediterranean.
