Over 90 teachers and student-teachers recently took part in a workshop on innovative teaching methods and modern technology tools developed by Edilingua to make Italian lessons more stimulating. The main was speaker Telis Marin, director of Edizioni Edilingua.

The methods discussed included a video course, software for interactive whiteboards and a new digital platform for Italian. The workshop first dealt with theoretical aspects underlying the use of technology in the classroom. Participants later took part in hands-on sessions and discussion groups.

The event was organised by the Department of Arts and Languages at the University’s Faculty of Education, and Edizioni Edilingua, in collaboration with the Education Ministry and Sierra Book Distributors.

The workshop was opened by Education Minister Evarist Bartolo and Salvatore Schirmo, director of the Italian Cultural Institute.
