BAJADA. On March 19, at St James Hospital, Żabbar, MARIA DOLORES (Dolly), widow of Antoine, aged 88, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joe Faremouth and his wife Mary of Detroit USA and her many other relatives and friends. ELLUL. On March 20, at home in Gżira, JULIE, aged 89, widow of John, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Doris, widow of Gerald McElhatton, and Pawla, widow of Charles Meredith, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, his beloved wife Doris née Borg, his son Carmel, his daughter Michelle and her husband Leonard Sant, his grandchildren Daniel, Matthew and Timothy, his sister Nena, his in-laws and their families, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. ZAHRA FENECH. On March 19, LISA MARIA, at the tender age of 15, went to meet the Lord and join her beloved mother Carmen. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her heartbroken father Tony, Bella, her beloved brother Nicholas and his wife Natasha, her cherished niece Michelle, and her adored grandmother Carmen Fenech. She will also be greatly missed and mourned by her devoted aunts and uncles, Lino and Cettina, John, Winston and Doris, Carmen widow of Frank and Antoinette widow of George, Maria and Ġużi, Frans and Maria, her cousins and their children, other relatives and friends. Mellieħa by-pass closure

On Sunday, the Mellieħa by-pass from the Manikata Junction up to Anchors Bay Junction will be closed to vehicular traffic due to a cycling activity between 7.30am and 10.30am.

Power cuts

Due to scheduled maintenance works on the electricity grid, there will be power cuts in the following localities tomorrow:

Between 8am and 2pm in St Mary, St Anthony and Clay streets, St Paul’s Bay.

Between 8am and 1pm in Independence Avenue, Gafà, L-Għarusa tal-Mosta, St Mary and Ċejlu Tonna streets and in Xorxa Alley, Mosta.
