The UK-based Glarac association – which is dedicated to perpetuating the memory of the men who lost their lives in the Norwegian Sea on June 8, 1940, aboard HMS Glorious, Ardent and Acasta – is to hold its annual commemoration service in Malta at the Maritime Museum in Vittoriosa on Sunday at 10.30am.
Around 40 Maltese were among the 1,500 who died after the ships were sunk by German battleships.
Relatives and friends of survivors and the deceased are urged to attend.
Refreshments will be served afterwards.
