Malta U-21 champion Brian Cini and second seed Chris Peplow are currently in Romania representing the country at the EBSA European Under-21 Snooker Championship which comes to a close with the final match on Sunday.

A record 98 players, from 28 countries, are taking part in the tournament which is being played on 16 tables at the Hotel Caro in Bucharest.

Participants were drawn in 16 groups of six or seven players each. The top four in each section (last 64) qualify for the knock-out stages.

Cini is in Group G and Peplow in Group K. Both of them started with a 3-1 win yesterday.

Matches in the round robin stage are played on a best-of-five format.
