A 19-year-old Syrian man and his Italian partner, also 19, from Swieqi, were arrested after they were found in possession of around 650 grams of cannabis grass and about 600 grams of cannabis resin.

The police operation concluded late on Saturday and the man is expected to be arraigned in the coming days.
