Ballet guru Matthew Bourne is at the mercy of his leading man as he prepares for a further slice of his hit production Edward Scissorhands.

The director and choreographer is preparing to overhaul the show and bring it back to the stage, nine years after he launched the production based on Tim Burton’s hit movie.

Bourne posed with dancer Dominic North in a barber shop to announce the return of the show, which is being revived for not only a return to its original home at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London but then for a national tour.

The 1990 film enchanted audiences with actor Johnny Depp in the title role, with the dance version being brought to the stage in 2005, premiering at Sadler’s Wells.

The tour will begin at the Theatre Royal Plymouth on November 10, will call for a month in London and winds up at Liverpool Empire in late January.
