The University Junior College is taking part in a Comenius project called Ancient Wisdom – Lessons of Life for the 21st Century.

The two-year project brings together students from Malta, Italy, Germany and the UK to research legends from their respective countries and explore the relevance of these ancient tales in the present-day context.

A group of students from the college, led by lecturers from its English and History departments, recently visited the medieval town of Fermo in Italy’s Marche region as part of the project.

The week-long visit was packed with activities including workshops and debates on the characteristics of legends and their role in understanding present-day issues. The students also visited places of interest in Fermo and Rome.

The students were hosted by the ITIS Montana College in Fermo.
