The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will be offering a symphonic rock experience to music lovers, with a concert dedictated to the iconic music of Queen.

Acclaimed British conductor Philip Walsh returns to conduct the MPO in these orchestral arrangements of Queen’s most popular songs ever. The artistic direction has been entrusted to Paul Borg Bonaci.

One of the most influential British rock bands of all time, Queen have sold millions of records worldwide. Their songs have been arranged to a completely new symphonic score for the occasion. The idea is for concert-goers to let their hair down, wear glitzy concert gear and join the MPO musicians for a rock and classical rave.

Tracks like It’s a Kind of Magic, Radio Ga Ga, We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and Don’t Stop Me Now are included on the programme.

MPO Plays Queen is happening on March 29 at 7.30pm at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. Tickets are available from the Manoel Theatre booking office, by calling on 2124 6389 or by sending an e-mail to bookings@teatrumanoel.com.mt.
