If you want to capture the wintery feeling you need not travel very far; Mount Etna is a mere one hour plus from the port of Pozzallo. Or one might as well go one step further and get the autostrada extended to Rosolini, no more than 15 minutes away following disemarkation from the Jean De La Valette. this new road has opened up Sicily to Maltese travelling in their own car or bike.
