Walking up the staircase of one of the Delimara power station’s blocks feels like stepping into a space shuttle in a science fiction movie. It is not your typical office environment with a desk and colleagues around you. It’s noisy and a little disconcerting knowing that this is the place where all the country’s electricity is produced.

Brandon came to work at the power station as an apprentice at the age of 17. He has since completed an undergraduate, and recently a Master’s degree in engineering. Brandon's job today involves maintenance and repairs to all electronic equipment used in the power station’s four generating plants.

Sylvana, on the other hand, has always had a passion for the environment and even though her specialisation is engineering, her educational background did not stop her from working on ways to reduce emissions and protect the environment.

Learn about Brandon's and Sylvana's day-to-day responsibilities and what motivates them to pursue their careers at the Delimara power station.
