A worker was given medical attention this afternoon following an explosion in a factory in Marsa industrial estate.

The blast, at Express Services sandblasting and galvanising, was reported at about 4 p.m. and involved spraying equipment. A fire was quickly put out.

Rescue and medical crews were on the scene.
