A theatre performance entitled Innocent Flesh portraying the experience of four young girls lured into prostitution through promises of love, wealth and fame will be held on Saturday at 8pm at the MITP Theatre in St Christopher Street, Valletta.

The play, produced by TAC Theatre and directed by Marc Cabourdin exposes the ensuing hardships and realities and is an excellent eye-opener to the harsh realities around us, which are certainly not alien to Malta.

The event is organised by the Department of Counselling of the University’s Faculty for Social Wellbeing, in collaboration with the Department of Theatre Studies, School of Performing Arts, University of Malta.

The performance is in line with the organisers’ commitment to social justice and to the use of performance ethnography to raise awareness on social justice issues. It is of interest to actors, practitioners, academics and students in the fields of performing arts, social sciences and humanities, youth and social work, as well as the public.

Tickets at €15 or €10 for students, may be purchased from ticketline.com.mt or from the Embassy Cinemas and the Department of Counselling.
