The team of NYX Professional Makeup recently presented €1,000 to Puttinu Cares. The funds were raised during the NYX Yourself for Charity campaign.

Every day, a random shopping bill was donated to charity.

The funds collected were presented to Puttinu Cares board member Andrew Decelis at the NYX store in Tower Road, Sliema, by make-up artist Jacqueline Ciavola.

“We are thrilled to be supporting Puttinu Cares. NYX Professional Makeup is all about bringing a smile to people’s faces and this is definitely in line with the foundation’s philosophy,” said Malcolm Mintoff, director of Paloma Cosmetics Ltd, exclusive distributor of NYX in Malta.

Mr Decelis thanked the management and staff for their initiative, saying the donation would be used for the upkeep of the Sutton apartments project.

The apartments, owned by Puttinu Cares, are currently full, with more than 30 families travelling to the UK for medical treatment every month.

Puttinu Cares currently owns 16 apartments, “which is half way to fulfilling the foundation’s dream that no patient will have to pay for accommodation when travelling for treatment”, Mr Decelis said.
