A van overturned after collision with a car coming from the opposite direction in Blue Grotto Avenue, Zurrieq, this afternoon.

The accident happened at about 5 .15 p.m. during an overtaking manoeuvre.

The van flipped onto its side after the collision with a BMW car. The van driver, 45 from Zurrieq,  was assisted by pedestrians and taken to hospital in an ambulance. No one in the BMW was injured.
