Franciscan Visitator General Fr Salvatore Ferro, OFM, accompanied by his secretary Bro Antonio Iacono, OFM, recently visited the Franciscan Fraternity at St Anthony’s Friary in Għajnsielem.

The Visitator General conducts such a visit every six years to prepare for the elective chapter that will next take place in May and at which new superiors will be elected for the Franciscan province in Malta.

During his visit to Gozo Fr Ferro also visited the Poor Clares monastery in Victoria and called on Gozo Bishop Mario Grech.
