A short course in marine biology will be offered by the University’s Department of Biology from March 26 to May 25.

Lectures will be held on Wednesdays between 6 and 8pm, and two practical sessions will be held on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.

The course will cover topics such as the physical and biological aspects of the marine environment, changing patterns of species in the Mediterranean, marine vegetation, human influence on the marine environment, fisheries biology, aquaculture and marine conservation biology.

The course is open to people who have successfully completed the Introduction to Marine Biology course or hold a intermediate certificate in biology or its equivalent.
