To celebrate the club’s historic 20th league title, Manchester United has teamed up with its official logistics partner DHL to launch the United Trophy Tour, delivered to the world by DHL. Logistics experts DHL will transport the Premier League trophy to 31 destinations across the globe over the coming months. This tour will also see DHL transport Manchester United artifacts directly from the Old Trafford Museum to give fans the chance to experience special moments in the club’s history.

After a send-off event in Manchester later this month, the United Trophy Tour kicks off in Rio De Janeiro on October 30. The five-month tour will see the Premier League trophy appear in a number of locations including Dubai, Mumbai, Jakarta, Shanghai, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, Moscow and Istanbul.

This exciting initiative will allow thousands of Manchester United fans across the globe to join the club in its 20th league title celebrations. The tour will include fan engagement events, live match screenings and displays of Manchester United memorabilia which DHL are transporting directly from the Old Trafford Museum. Accompanying the Premier League trophy across various legs of the tour will be a number of the club’s legends including Andrew Cole, Denis Irwin, Bryan Robson and Dwight Yorke.

This tour builds on DHL and Manchester United’s successful partnership which has previously delivered the DHL Champ19ns Trophy Tour in the 2011/12 season, celebrating the club’s 19th league win in 27 destinations across the world.

“The 20th league title was a huge milestone in the history of the club and the United Trophy Tour, delivered to the world by DHL, presents a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this achievement on a global scale,” said Group Managing Director for Manchester United, Richard Arnold.

“The United Trophy Tour, delivered to the world by DHL, provides us with an opportunity to showcase DHL’s partnership with Manchester United to our customers and staff in each location and to celebrate the common factors that drive success in both sport and business,” said John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express Europe. “This tour builds on the success of the DHL Champ19ns Trophy Tour in the 2011/12 season, something DHL was incredibly proud to be part of.

“DHL has a global network of over 220 countries and territories. We look forward to sharing the Manchester United story with our customers and introducing the United legends and the Premier League trophy to a number of our key markets around the world.”

DHL Global Forward is exclusively represented in Malta by BAS Limited.
