MORAN. On March 1, at her residence in Guardamangia, EVELYN, widow of William, ex-Superintedent of the Malta Police Force, aged 91, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Philip and his wife Vivienne, Dorothy, widow of Mario Buontempo, Sr Pier Damiana of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Carmen, widow of Vincent Grima, Marion, wife of Charles Calleja, Henry and his wife Patricia, Isabelle and her husband Ezio Comparato, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9am for the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima, Guardamangia, where Mass præsente cadavare will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Creche, Guardamangia, will be appreciated. Please remember her in your prayers.
SPITERI STAINES. On March 1, EDGAR, aged 84, passed away peacefully at home, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Mary, née Busuttil, his sons Tony and his wife Tracy and Cyril and his wife Claire, his grandchildren Nicole, AmyCarole and Marie, his brothers Anthony and his wife Ina, John and his wife Gertrude, David and his wife Annabelle, Joseph and his wife MarieLouise, Marilyn, widow of Vincent; his in-laws Helen, Lina, Bessie, Victor and Fr Joseph Busuttil, Tessie and Salvatore Sortino, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for St Julians parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by private interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors at home. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
