Sex and the City star Kristin Davis has helped launch a new British Airways Airbus A380 superjumbo service.

BA will begin operating the A380, the world’s biggest passenger plane, on its London-Singapore route from October 2014.

BA will use superjumbos on three of its weekly services to Singapore, increasing the number of seats on this route by more than 4,000 a month.

Davis, who played Charlotte in Sex and the City, is in London rehearsing her role role as Beth Gallagher in the stage version of Fatal Attraction at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

The BA superjumbos already fly to Los Angeles and Hong Kong, and services to Johannesburg started on February 12. The airline will begin flights to Washington DC on the A380 from September 1.
