Lufthansa recorded the best figures for punctuality in its history last year.

More than 85 per cent of all departing flights left the hubs in Frankfurt and Munich within 15 minutes of the scheduled departure time in 2013. This 15-minute window represents the industry standard for measuring punctuality.

The proportion of transfer passengers who missed their connecting flight or who did not receive their luggage as planned at their destination was barely more than one per cent.

This performance was achieved despite construction work on the apron for the satellite building at Munich Airport – one of Europe’s biggest construction sites – and the very strict night-flight ban in Frankfurt.
