Spanish Ambassador to Malta Don Felipe de la Morena Casado recently visited the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Victoria.

He was welcomed by the school head Canon Emmanuel Saliba, and the head of Department for Modern Languages at the Secretariat for Catholic Schools in Malta and Gozo, Michelle Vella Gobey.

During this visit, students who study Spanish at the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary and the Bishop’s Conservatory Girls’ Secondary School, participated in a quiz on Spanish culture prepared by Spanish teachers Diana Gomez Cantoral and Emanuel Scerri.

The students were later addressed by the Ambass-ador, Canon Saliba and Prof. Carmel Vassallo, head of the University’s Department of Spanish.

The ambassador toured the school and stopped to visit the school library’s section dedicated to Spanish books.
